Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1½ pounds / 680 g)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the chicken for 5–7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the same skillet.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the lemon juice and Italian seasoning, stirring to combine.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the garlic butter sauce over the top.
- Cook for another 2–3 minutes to blend the flavors.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
Notes
- Boneless, skinless chicken thighs can be used instead of chicken breasts.
- Add sliced mushrooms for extra flavor and texture.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the chicken before serving.
- Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Stir in fresh spinach during the last few minutes of cooking.
