Description

A rich and creamy Marry Me Chicken Pasta featuring tender chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and a flavorful parmesan cream sauce tossed with perfectly cooked pasta.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 large chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 8 ounces pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. Cook the chicken until golden and fully cooked, then remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2–3 minutes to deglaze the pan.
  7. Add heavy cream, parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir well.
  8. Let the sauce simmer until slightly thickened.
  9. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and mix into the sauce.
  10. Add the cooked pasta and toss until well coated.
  11. Garnish with fresh basil and serve.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the chicken to keep it tender and juicy.
  • Add a splash of pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.
  • Use freshly grated parmesan for better melting and flavor.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes to control spice level.
  • Half-and-half can be used instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
