Description

Soft and chewy M&M Cookie Bars packed with chocolate chips and colorful candy-coated chocolates. These easy dessert bars come together quickly in one bowl and are perfect for parties, bake sales, or family treats.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups M&M candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, then mix until fully combined.
  4. Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt until a thick dough forms.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and most of the M&M candies, saving a handful for the top.
  6. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan and sprinkle the remaining candies over the surface.
  7. Bake the bars for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  8. Let the bars cool completely before slicing them into squares.

Notes

  • Do not overbake the bars to keep them soft and chewy.
  • Use seasonal M&M candies for holiday-themed cookie bars.
  • White chocolate chips or peanut butter chips can be substituted for chocolate chips.
