Description
A quick and easy orange chicken recipe made with just four ingredients, featuring tender chicken coated in a sweet, tangy, and glossy orange sauce.
Ingredients
- 500 g boneless chicken breast or chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup (240 ml) orange marmalade
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken pieces until golden and fully cooked through.
- In a bowl, mix together the orange marmalade, barbecue sauce, and soy sauce until smooth.
- Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and stir until evenly coated.
- Simmer for 5–7 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
- Serve warm with rice, noodles, or vegetables if desired.
Notes
- Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness and flavor.
- Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a spicy version.
- Stir frequently while simmering to prevent the sauce from burning.
- Top with sesame seeds or green onions for garnish.
- Add a splash of water when reheating if the sauce becomes too thick.
