Description

Quick, chewy, no-bake peanut butter Rice Krispie treats with a perfect balance of sweet, salty, creamy, and crunchy flavors.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 package (10 oz / about 280 g) mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add the mini marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Mix in the peanut butter, vanilla extract, and salt until fully combined and creamy.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and immediately fold in the Rice Krispies cereal.
  5. Stir gently until all the cereal is evenly coated.
  6. Press the mixture into a greased or parchment-lined baking dish, spreading it evenly without pressing too firmly.
  7. Let the treats cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  8. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the marshmallows or the treats may turn hard.
  • Press the mixture gently into the pan to keep the bars soft and chewy.
  • You can use chunky peanut butter for extra texture.
  • For variation, drizzle melted chocolate on top or mix in chocolate chips, chopped peanuts, or butterscotch chips.
