Ingredients
- 500 g Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 220°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts, then place them in a large bowl.
- Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Toss well until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.
- Arrange the sprouts cut-side down on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
- Roast for 20–25 minutes until crispy and deeply golden, shaking the pan halfway through cooking.
- If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it over the sprouts during the last few minutes of roasting.
- Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice before serving if desired.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the baking sheet to ensure crispiness.
- Roasting cut-side down creates better caramelization.
- Dry Brussels sprouts thoroughly before roasting.
- Add balsamic glaze, or nuts for extra flavor variations.
- Reheat in the oven or air fryer to maintain crisp texture.
