Description

Rich, creamy red velvet edible cookie dough made without eggs and with heat-treated flour for a safe no-bake dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, heat-treated and cooled
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon red food coloring
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Spread the flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for about 5 minutes, then let it cool completely.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and smooth.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract, milk, cocoa powder, salt, and red food coloring until evenly combined.
  4. Stir in the cooled heat-treated flour until a soft, thick dough forms.
  5. Fold in the white chocolate chips and mini chocolate chips.
  6. Chill for 15 to 20 minutes for a firmer texture, then serve.

Notes

  • Make sure the flour is fully cooled before adding it to the dough.
  • Add more milk, 1 teaspoon at a time, if the dough is too thick.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Freeze small portions for up to 2 months and thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
  • Food coloring can be skipped for a more natural version.
