Ingredients
- 1 cup yellow mustard
- 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a medium saucepan.
- Whisk together until smooth and fully combined.
- Place over medium-low heat and simmer gently for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as desired (more honey for sweetness or vinegar for tang).
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before using or storing.
Notes
- Add hot sauce for extra heat if desired.
- Molasses can be used instead of part of the honey for deeper flavor.
- Dijon mustard can be substituted for a sharper taste.
- Flavors improve after resting for a day.
- Great as a marinade, glaze, or dipping sauce.
