Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 hamburger buns
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and green bell pepper, cooking until softened.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute.
- Add ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, salt, pepper, paprika, and water.
- Mix well and let the mixture simmer for 10–15 minutes until thickened.
- Lightly toast the hamburger buns.
- Spoon the meat mixture onto buns and serve warm.
