Description
A quick and flavorful one-skillet dinner made with ground turkey, broccoli, and a sweet-spicy sauce served over rice. This easy weeknight meal comes together in under 30 minutes and tastes better than takeout.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
- 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 2 cups cooked white rice
Instructions
- Cook the ground turkey in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spoon until fully browned and cooked through.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for 4–5 minutes. Add a small splash of water and cover the skillet briefly if needed to soften the broccoli.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey, and sriracha sauce.
- Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir until the turkey and broccoli are evenly coated.
- Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Serve the sweet and spicy turkey mixture over warm cooked white rice.
Notes
- Swap broccoli with snap peas, green beans, or bell peppers for variety.
- Add extra sriracha or red pepper flakes for more heat.
- Serve over cauliflower rice for a lower-carb option.
- Brown rice or noodles can also be used instead of white rice.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Freeze the turkey and broccoli mixture for up to 2 months.
